We have used Windy Acres for over 17 years now on our 3rd dog to stay at their facilities.  We have hunting retrievers and we appreciate the grounds, the kennel runs, and the owners & staff that take care of the boys when we have to leave them behind.  We come with a list of meds and such for the senior dogs and they take care to take care of them.  The boys are bathed & their supplies are ready to go on pick up day. The dogs are tired when they come home & potty routines are askew; a kennel is a lot of stimulus and it isn’t a normal routine like home.  This happens with any place we have left them.  We have used other kennels—pricier, with perhaps more perceived amenities and definitely more options charged a la carte such as baths at the end of the stay—and we choose to use Windy Acres Kennels when we have the opportunity.

We have used Windy Acres to board our Golden retrievers for over 17 years now.  We have lived in other places and have had experience with other kennels along the way as well.  This is the only place we have used that bathes the dogs at end of the stay without charging additional.  Our dogs are tired when they come home along with potty & drinking adjustments; this happens with every kennel we have sent them to and even when we have had them stay with other friends and family.  It's not a normal home routine and at a kennel there are more dogs and a variety of dogs and their personalities in the air.  We appreciate the facilities and offerings Windy Acres provides.  We choose to board our dogs there when our location and the need allows.

I've used this kennel for about 10 years with three different dogs I've owned during that time. I have always felt confident leaving my dogs here. The staff are attentive and will accommodate special requests (such as walk outs for potty breaks, medications, and feedings with multiple ingredients). Walks, swim time, and play time do cost extra, but that's standard with any kennel. I appreciate that they provide food, bedding, and a bath. My dogs have always come home clean. Boarding is stressful for dogs no matter what. If I've ever had any concerns, the owner has talked with me about those and made suggestions for working best with my dog. A couple of times I've had my plans change and needed to cancel reservations or extend a stay. This has never been a problem and there are no penalties. I recommend Windy Acres.

Wonderful family owned small business.  I've entrusted them to care for my beloved pets for 30 years. We feel so comfortable being able to travel knowing windy acres staff taking such great care of our dogs.  Just returned from visiting the grandkids and our pets were so happy, smelled great. We have been boarding our dogs at Windy Acres for the past 15 years. Kim and Darren truly get dogs and care for them like one of their own. I never worry about dropping off our puppies at Windy Acres. My dogs get so excited when we drive down the driveway. You can tell they love staying there.
